Board Activities:

The main mission of the council is to support and develop professional education for the electricity sector. The goal is to ensure the next generation of technically educated and qualified experts but also to contribute to further continuous professional education.

The Council is an advisory body of the ČSZE and in its activities uses the strategic documents of the Union: “Certification of schools in the ČSZE”, “Standard equipment of schools in the ČSZE” and “Principles of cooperation between schools
and member entities in the ČSZE”.

Communication with social partners is essential for the council. This is based on the Sectoral Agreement for Energy, the “Memorandum on Cooperation” concluded between the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic and the Czech Union of Employers in the Energy Industry, the Agreement on Cooperation concluded between the National Institute for Education and its successor organization the National Pedagogical Institute, and the Agreement on cooperation between the region and the Czech Union of Employers in the Energy Industry.

The Council is significantly involved in the creation and updating of the educational policy of the Czech Republic in vocational education. It has been active in establishing the principles of the “Strategy of the Czech Republic’s educational policy until 2030+”, in the conception and revision of framework educational programs for secondary education, in the creation of the system and the assignment of the unified final exam, the system of graduation exams, and unified entrance exams. It focuses its potential in the field of further professional education Especially in the creation of the Qualification and Evaluation Standard of Professional Qualifications in the National System of Qualifications, further education in modern technologies and education for the competence of workers to service and operate assigned technical equipment.
